Weddings and Relationship Blessings Creating and facilitating these tailor made ceremonies is one of the areas where Interfaith Ministers are most needed. Many couples today are seeking spiritual wedding ceremonies outside of a particular denomination and which honours and celebrates different pathways, traditions, lifestyles and sexuality. Where people want something more personal or relevant to themselves interfaith ministers can make a valuable and immensely rewarding contribution. As the law stands in England & Wales, weddings and civil partnership ceremonies have a legal component which a Registrar is required to complete. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, Interfaith Ministers can undertake this legal component.
Funerals and Memorial Ceremonies In these ceremonies I aim
to create and hold a solid presence of compassion and safety and will hold this space for the family and friends of the deceased. The service is designed to celebrate the life of the deceased whilst helping those who remain to come to terms with the process of living and dying as they honour the deceased.
Funerals can be too formal and it is important to bring love into the releasing, enabling family and friends to truly share in the celebration of the life of the deceased. There are no absolute requirements for conducting a funeral service and no legalities that must be adhered to. As an Interfaith Minister to conduct a funeral service is one of the most meaningful and loving duties I can perform. Blessing and Naming Ceremonies for the Newborn The purpose of these is to celebrate and sanctify the entrance of a new born into the world and also to give thanks for the miracle of the new life and to support the parents into stepping into parenthood with love and clarity. The ceremonies also acknowledge the role of grandparents and god parents and the place of the new born in the family lineage and are a great celebration of gratitude and joy based on honouring the newly born infant.
These ceremonies celebrate ‘rites of passage' such as a child leaving home to embark on a new journey in life, perhaps going to university or working abroad; or the ending of a relationship which the couple wish to honour and move on in love. You may want a blessing or ritual to celebrate a new business venture - or moving into a new home. The list is endless!
Healing Ceremonies & Practices Healing occurs when we surrender to our own truth as to who we really are. I can support people with this process, assisting in the release of deep issues, opening the way for shifts in consciousness allowing people to see things from a different viewpoint. I can support people become open to change, bringing them back to a state of wholeness and allowing them to let go of
old
habits, values and beliefs which are not benefiting their life. Various practices and ceremonies may be incorporated under this heading including psychotherapy, reiki, counselling and meditation.

Spiritual counselling is an invitation to fully accept truth into our life. It is an approach to counselling with a non-denominational, inclusive spiritual orientation. Spiritual counselling offers the opportunity to be in a safe place with someone in the spirit of love, equality and friendship, and to explore how we can live in a more authentic place of being. It is an invitation to be still and wake up to who we really are, free from the storylines which so often distort our self awareness; and to live a life which becomes increasingly more truthful and meaningful.
Reiki Healing see Reiki page for details I run a meditation group dedicated to the teachings of the Naqshbandi Sufi Path which places emphasis on deep meditation in the heart. I have strong links with the Golden Sufi Centre.
Fees The ceremonies that I offer are very personal, each tailored to the needs or desires of individual people or groups. As such it is not possible to give any standard prices as these must reflect the time spent in preparation, research, actually conducting the service and counselling the participants as they may require. I work freelance and fees are usually in line with standard fees set by The Interfaith Foundation. Most of my work as a Spiritual Counsellor involves sessions with individuals or couples. I particularly work with people or persons experiencing grief, bereavement, relationship difficulties, adjustment difficulties or people coming to terms with potentially life threatening illness. Individual counselling sessions /Reiki Healing sessions - Fees are usually £25-£35 per session. |
